a normal blog today...

.. after my little review recently, well there has been some news to report on, i can go private for my knee which emans better and quicker treatment and hopefully a quicker road to recovery. i've got an interview this weekend for a job at 3, in a stockton store so im really looking forward to that, however i am havin to miss the boro v birmingham match, but its not that big of a deal. After the last one i went, which boro drew against newcastle, my knee was really painful afterwards. Speaking of that game it was a really good game to be at and we were the better side, depsite whatever geordies tell you boro had the more possession, had better attacks and looked more lively. And this was with a side that wasn't completely match fit yet, so hell knows what we will be like when we are.
i'm enjoying my new headset a lot, its been gettin quite a lot of use and still goin strong which is great.
360friendspot has had a makeover with a new forum software and the homepage is completely different. go check it out, link is on the side there. im still without xbox which is really annoying and im so lookin forward to gettin it back, and hopefully banging away on halo3 and fifa 08 in time.
i've also moved the computer into the living room as it easier to access than being in my room atm.

so what have i got planned for the week, well i got a docs appointment 2moro for a referral so i can go privately, and basically chill out and rest, which is all i can do at the moment, really boring but its for the best. then my interview on saturday which will hopefully go well. and thats about it really. woohoo lol.

My new headset

pointless post you might think, but i have just recieved my new bluetooth headset in the post this morning, after only ordering it at the weekend and here is my lil review of it so far.

Well this little gadget is well, little, its small, compact and doesnt weigh too much, not your typical headset which wraps around your ear, no, this is a stereo headset so it as 2 earpieces, just like normal headphones. but instead of connecting to your mobile phone, or any other bluetooth enabled music device this has a little, well im gonna call it a dongle, which has a hidden display, what I mean by that is, is that you can't see where it starts or stops the display, only comes when a track changes or when you press the menu button. which brings me onto the menu.

The menu has 3 different options, Contacts - you can see which contacts you have on your mobile phone and call them from your headset, which is a nice feature, saves you having to get your phone out of your pocket, selecting which contact you want to call and then using your headset. Next menu option is Call List - you can see which people you have called or who has called you, makes it easier than going into contacts especially when you need to ring someone back straight away. Last Option is Device list - This lists the devices that are connected to your headset, this headset has a capability of connecting to 10 devices at once, which for a bluetooth enabled device is rather astonishing, i have yet to try that feature out but im sure its really good, just like the rest of it.

The buttons on the dongle are rather easy to use, there is a play and stop button the top, a volume up/down button which is on the side at the bottom along with the menu button, and on the side on the top is the track forward/backwards button which you slide to choose which way to go. All easy to use and seem fairly robust.

Next bit is an important part of the headset, sound quality. The sound quality of this headset is fantastic, when listening to music through it is brilliant, unfortunately for those of you who like your heavy bass, there is no option to turn it up, which is disappointing but nothing major as it sounds great anyway. When making a call the voice quality is also brilliant, not only in my ear but the person who is listening to oyu on the other end, the person who I tested it with had said that my voice was crystal clear so that is a great sign.

Another thing i should mention. Battery life, this headset can last 6 hours with constant music listening, not sure what it is just on standby but i will look into that. But when charging you can still use the headset which is rather different to other bluetooth headsets which you cant use, I know its pointless but still rather good anyway.

Finally price - you really need to look around to get a decent deal, first place i looked was and they were charging around £85 for this, looked elsewhere but found no cheaper than the actually sony shop, which was £69.99 plus £3.50 p+p. which is the cheapest i found, and for a top quality headset i thought was a great price.

Wireless is the way to go people, so get going.

hey ppl

well lads and ladies, just an update to whats been up with me, well i've been gettin a grinding pain in my right knee, so i went to the docs to get it checked and he say's that i have popped the cartilage, but i think its worse coz the pain is gettin worse and worse, so im gonna go again, and maybe go to the hospital and see what they say. worst case scenario is an operation on it which would rule me out of anything for a while, which is not what i want. i'd rather get back into playin golf than sitting here. its all very frustrating rite now, just like the boro were on wednesday night. losing to wigan 1-0 and playin diabolical. truly a terrible game, however they got their first win of the season at fulham today and off and running, thanks to new signing Mido (and a lil help from the keeper) and super lee cattermole scoring in the dying minutes of the game. was a tense finish as expected but boro managed to hold on, thanks to a referee decision going our way, and some decent defending. And to say our inexperienced back four have only conceded 4 goals in 3 games is rather good i think and they deserve some credit because its not there fault the strikers havent been putting the ball into the net.

anyway yesterday i decided to buy the new linkin park album and i like it, some very cool songs on it, another one to add to my ever growing collection. also today i have purchased a stereo bluetooth headset for my mobile fone. its the Sony Ericsson Stereo Bluetooth Headset HBH-DS980, to give its full name, and here are a couple pics for you to see

Middlesbrough 1-2 Blackburn Rovers

Despite the result it was middlesbrough who dominated the play for much of the game, and deserved at least a draw out of the game.
It was Middlesbrough who started off the brighter side with Jeremie Aliadiere going close in the first 10mins, however Robbie Savage made a last ditch tackle to deny him a goal. The deadlock was broken on the half hour mark when Middlesbrough were awarded a free kick about 20-25 yards out, Stewart Downing converting the free kick through a gap in the Rovers wall and into the bottom left corner of Friedels net. And Middlesbrough continued to dominate the rest of the first with chances coming but not being able to convert them.
Blackburn did come out a little quicker in the second half but yet again Middlesbrough were creating the chances. However an awful injury to Benni McCarthy seemed to be Rovers saviour as it allowed new boy Roque Santa Cruz to come on as a sub and score the equaliser with an extremely good header, with the cross being provided from the right from David Bentley. And then on came Matt Derbyshire. After being only on the pitch for a number of seconds produced a world class goal that curled around Middlesbrough keeper Mark Schwarzer and into the back of the net, a goal fitting for a victory.
Middlesbrough continued to fight and press on and in the dieing minutes David Wheater had an effort saved on the line by a scrambling Friedel. Full time Middlesbrough 1-2 Blackburn Rovers.
